"Right Where You Left Me" Final Blog Post By: Gabby Diaz We finally finished our music video! After spending a lot of time shooting and editing, me and my partner were finally able to finish our music video. Click the video below to check it out!      We definitely learned a lot about the different processes of filming, editing, among other things. It is way harder than it looks! We had a basic idea of how we wanted to execute our video but struggled on how to make that happen exactly. While we were filming, we attempted different angles to see how certain things and people looked, some making it into the video and others not. We wanted to show the emotions of the main character and how this break-up was affecting her everyday life, so we chose different settings (all in school) and tried to set all of them up to match our visions to the best of our abilities. We couldn't control every single aspect of the film, like if someone appeared in the background or the character

"Right Where You Left Me" Blog - Part 2 By: Gabriela Diaz   So far in our music video we have filmed one of the main scenes- the breakup. Filmed in different points of views, we showed the characters walking together and acting normal in one moment and breaking up in the next. We wanted to capture all the emotions as much as we can while also making it as realistic as possible. The main character wore pink in this scene, to connect love with this relationship. Later on, she won't wear light colors. The song we chose will be playing throughout the whole video, which is non- diegetic.  We have different plans for the video, including changing the lighting to warm tones since that's the tone of the song. We want to show a girl that isn't able to move on, to have the audience feel what she is feeling and be empathetic towards her. Some can even relate to this while others can interpret this in a different way. That was one of the reasons we chose one of Taylor Swift&#

"Right Where You Left Me" Music Video Blog               By: Gabby Diaz  Me and my partner both bonded over the fact that we listen to Taylor Swift and we decided that one of her songs would be perfect considering the fact that she uses a lot of imagery in her songs. We eventually came across "Right Where You Left Me," an emotional song about a girl who got broken up with and isn't able to move on. Swift includes words that allows listeners to make mental images of what is happening, such as "Help, I'm still at the restaurant, Still sitting in a corner I haunt, Cross- legged in the dim light, They say, 'What a sad sight.'" We plan on make these lyrics come to life and hope to do it in a correct manner. We are planning at filming 3 specific things: two friends walking outside of a restaurant, a couple in a booth, and the main character with her friends. We have the dates set for shooting and also everyone that will be in it. Some o

My Media "Dating Profile"     By: Gabriela Diaz As a teenager who doesn’t really have much to do besides school and extracurricular activities, an escape is often needed. It tends to be on my phone and, say what you want, but it comes handy to have everything at your fingertips. My favorite platforms are video and music streaming services like Spotify and Hulu, and also social media apps like Pinterest. Both Spotify and Hulu give me access to different content that usually serves as background noise to whatever I’m doing. In Spotify, I have the ability to make playlists depending on my mood and listen to a variety artists and podcasts while in Hulu I can watch different shows and movies. My favorite series, “The Bear,” “Scandal,” and “Normal People” are all on there! I feel like Pinterest shouldn’t   be under the umbrella of social media but that is , at the end of the day, what it is. There, you can discover new ideas and crafts, as well as finding inspiration in ho
